Unilever Nigeria, producers of Close-up toothpaste has launched the
Close-up Cupid Games campaign in Lagos, as it prepares the minds of its
customers towards the forthcoming Valentine’s Day celebrations.
The management of the brand said, the Cupid Games for Valentine is a
platform for young individuals to express their feelings for that
special person. The evening was graced with fun and excitement as
musicians, Yemi Alade and Davido entertained the crowd with music.
Speaking on the modalities involved to participate in the game, the
owners of the brand, in a statement, noted that, “During the course of
the game, participants will demonstrate how far they can go for love by
taking the challenge, which is in a form of a dare.
Top ten creative participants will be rewarded with exciting prizes
like Beats by Dre headphones and get invites to Cupid Games grand event,
where they get to hang out with Davido and Yemi Alade”.
According to the management of the multinational company, the winner
of the grand prize would get a power bike, while second and third prize
winners would receive a pair of personalised Apple MacBooks and iPads,
respectively.
Speaking at the launch, brand building director, Unilever Nigeria
Plc., David Okeme, stated that the game is an engagement platform
created by Close-up for young adults to connect and show their loved
ones how much they care, especially at Valentine.
Also speaking at the launch, category manager, oral care, Oiza Gyang,
added that Close-up Cupid’s Dare Game is a conversation starter meant
to get people closer while demonstrating the extent they would go for
love.
Close-up, over the years, has been able to reinforce its
understanding of Nigeria’s oral care needs and re-state its commitment
towards sustaining its position as the best oral care product in the
market.
