Although, no detail has been made available to confirm the report, source disclosed that the account which domiciled for a long period with Blueflower Communication may have been facilitated owing to the long standing relationship which existed between the Chief Executive Officer of CMC Connect, Mr.Yemi Badejo-Okusanya and The Chief Executive Officer of Airtel, Mr.Taiwo Ogunsanya.
Although, no announcement as to any review that will allow for agencies to participate in a pitch was made, a source said even if a pitch had been conducted it was likely that CMC Connect would win the account, based on the strong bond between the CMC CEO and Airtel.
While tongues have been wagging as to the ownership of Blueflower Communication, sources say the position which the Head, Corporate Communication, Airtel, Emeka Oparah holds in the company had helped the account to remain with Blueflower till date.
