The Congress Appeal Committee for Ondo State All Progressives Congress on Friday said it had not received any petition from the last state congress of the party.
The congress, held on October 16, 2021, had new members of the state executive of the party elected with Mr Ade Adetimehin as the chairman.
Speaking in Akure, the state capital, the Chairman of the Appeal Committee, Mrs Yetunde Adeniji, disclosed that the committee met with the leadership and some critical stakeholders of the party across the 18 local government areas of the state, noting that the party, which adopted consensus mode of congress, might have used internal mechanism to resolve any issue that may have come up during the congress.
According to her, the absence of any appeal shows that the congress conducted in the state and supervised by the Chairman of the Ondo APC Congress Committee, Mr Komsol Longap, was an acceptable one to all members.(Punch)
