Expelled Delta APC ex-deputy chairman working for PDP – Exco

THE Delta State executive of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday affirmed the expulsion of the former state Deputy Chairman of the party, Mr Elvis Ayomanor.

Members of the State Executive Committee of the APC, described the expelled party leader as “a confused impostor and PDP agent within”.

The Executive Committee of the APC in Sapele Ward 7 in Sapele Local Government Area had last weekend announced Elvis Ayomanor’s expulsion from the party by ratifying a recommendation by the Ward Disciplinary Committee, haven found him guilty of anti-party activities.

The Disciplinary Committee had also indicted the former party chieftain of “disobedience and bringing the party into disrepute and public opprobrium.”

In response, Ayomanor, on Tuesday, faulted his purported expulsion from the Delta APC claiming that the authors of the said letter were mere exco members of a pressure group working for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s Governorship bid in Delta State.

Reacting to Mr Elvis Ayomanor’s strongly-worded statement where he claimed to be the APC State Acting Chairman, the party, on Wednesday, likened that claim to “a Nollywood script being acted by a confused impostor and PDP agent who earns his daily living from controversies”.

Delta State Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Prophet Jones Erue declared in a press statement signed on his behalf by the party’s Director of Publicity, Nick Ovuakporie, that “Mr Elvis Ayomanor’s term as State Deputy Chairman ended with the dissolution of the Adams Oshiomhole-led NWC and was not re-appointed by the Governor Mai-Malam Buni-led National Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee”.

Erue said, “The party is aware of the undercurrent dealings of some of its members and their leaders with Governor Okowa and the PDP.” (Punch)
