Carabao Cup: Iwobi eyes fourth goal, Etebo out

EVERTON winger, Alex Iwobi, will be hoping to get his fourth Carabao Cup goal of the season when they face Queens Park Rangers in a Third Round fixture on Tuesday (today) at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Rafael Benítez’s side will be hoping to return to winning ways after their 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the English Premier League over the weekend.

The Toffees defeated Huddersfield Town in the second round, with Iwobi grabbing the opening goal in the 29th minute.

In the EPL, the Nigerian has struggled in front of goal since joining the Merseyside team has always scored in the last three editions of the Carabao Cup since he joined the Toffees.

At the Brentford Community Stadium, midfielder, Frank Onyeka, will be expected to make his second Carabao Cup appearance when they face Oldham Athletic on Tuesday.

The midfielder was involved for 44 minutes in their second-round 3-1 win over 10-man Forest Green. Onyeka, who joined the Bees in the summer from Danish side FC Midtjylland, has five appearances for the club in all competitions.

Duo Emmanuel Dennis and William Troost Ekong will be available for Watford when they face Championship side Stoke City in the third round on Tuesday.

However, Oghenekaro Etebo, who is loan at Watford from Stoke, is ineligible to play any part against Stoke under the terms of his loan agreement with the Potters.(Punch)
