COVID-19: LAUTECH donates milk to Oyo, Osun

The Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has donated 470 cartons of milk each to Oyo and Osun states.

The university led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Michael Ologunde, to make the donations to the two owner states said in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the school that the gesture was to expedite recovery of  COVID-19 patients in the two states.

He stated that the university donated milk because COVID-19 patients were expected to have improved protein diet.

Speaking at the delivery of the commodities in Ibadan,  Ologunde, said the institution was elated at the turn of events for  Governor Seyi Makinde, who tested positive for coronavirus and recovered speedily.

At Osogbo, the vice-chancellor, accompanied by the university Librarian, Dr Modupe Aboyade, prayed that those who tested positive to the dreaded pandemic would become negative in no distant time.

He urged all Nigerians to obey government directives as a potent way to curb the spread of COVID-19.
