Bowen inaugurates sub station, college building

The governing council of Bowen University has inaugurated 33/11KV injection sub-station, and a building for the College of Computing and Communication Studies.

At the inauguration of the project, the Chairman of Bowen Governing Council and Pro Chancellor of the institution, Deacon Wole Abegunde, said the university leadership was rapidly working towards meeting the mission of being the foremost Christian university of Nigeria.

A member of the council, Abiola Otaniyi, said the management had remained focus in pursuing the God-given vision, adding that more feats would be achieved with cooperation of all stakeholders in the affairs of the school.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, said the university raised its Internally Generated Revenue from its poultry farm which had 5,000 broilers.

He declared that with cooperation, all issues that looked insurmountable when he took over as Vice-Chancellor were being successfully addressed and called for more dedication on the part of staff for the administration to record more success.

He added, “The poultry project which has 5,000 broiler birds is to improve our IGR through agriculture.

“All these are just the beginning of what our administration intends to do and achieve. Productivity and high output are the things that this university talk about and focuses on. Once you cannot deliver, you will have to excuse us.”
