President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary today.
Buhari and Aisha both posted messages to mark the occasion on their individual twitter handles on Monday.
On his twitter handle, @MBuhari, the President tweeted, “Today, on our 30th wedding anniversary, I pray for Allah’s continued peace and blessings in our home and family.”
He also posted a picture of himself and Aisha when they were younger and a second picture, an enlarged family photograph, showing the President, Aisha, their children and a female relative.
Following the example of her husband, Aisha too tweeted, “Alhamdulillah for 30 years of togetherness.”
She tweeted on her handle, @aishambuhari.
She too posted the same picture of herself and the President in their younger days, but not the enlarged family photograph.
The President is currently in his home town, Daura, in Katsina State.
He will spend five days in Daura before returning to Abuja.
He will make a stopover in Kaduna on Tuesday (today) before proceeding to Abuja on Wednesday.
