Super Falcons captain, Asisat Oshoala, says playing for Barcelona is a dream come true.
The forward joined the Catalan team on a permanent basis from Chinese Women League side Dalian Quanjian FC in June and has since become one of the team’s top players also revealing that she is enjoying her time at the club.
“I have always dreamt of playing for Barcelona but I never thought it would ever happen. When you’re surrounded by a team of great women, it makes you want to do more on and off the pitch,” she said in a video monitored by Sports Extra.
“I’m at Barcelona to make myself better, I know a lot of people look up to me to make them proud, and let the world know there are good players in Africa that can be good role models to millions of kids.”
The 25-year-old says playing football professionally has been life changing for her, a path she never knew she’ll take.
“I never had the thought of playing football professionally, I never took it seriously,” she said.
