The breakdown obtained by our correspondent on Saturday showed that each of the 36 states had 18 candidates while the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, had 12 intakes.

There were 11 states and the FCT, Abuja, which had no females among the candidates.

According to the NDA Registrar, Brig Gen I.M Jallo, the academy cadets, mandated to come with clothing materials and a laptop, would resume on the campus on September 1, 2019.

Jallo said, “Sequel to the Armed Forces Selection Board interview which was held from June 24 to August 10, the NDA announces the release of the list of successful candidates for the 71 Regular Combatant intake.

“Candidates will come with items, including two pairs of black trousers, two white shirts, one black polish, brushes, shaving kit and toiletries, two white bed sheets and pillow cases.

“Selected candidates are not allowed to receive visitors and will not leave the academy for the first four months of training. Successful candidates will be subjected to toxicology or drug test on resumption.”
