Ihedioha’s aide must apologise for slapping my daughter – Okorocha

The immediate-past Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has asked his successor, Emeka Ihedioha, to order a member of the Committee on Recovery of Stolen State Government Assets to tender a public apology for allegedly slapping his daughter, Uloma-Rochas Nwosu.

Nwosu, who is Okorocha’s first daughter, is married to Uche Nwosu, the Action Alliance governorship candidate who came second in the last governorship election in the state won by Ihedioha.

Okorocha, in a statement on Sunday in Owerri by his media aide, Sam Onwuemedo, said her daughter was slapped when she went to the ‘ALL-IN’ furniture store owned by her mother, to know why members of the committee invaded the store.

He said the invasion took place after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had marked the shop for investigation.

Okorocha, who currently represents Imo West in the Senate, said that for eight years he held sway as governor, he never used his power as chief executive to intimidate any indigene of the state.

But reacting, Ihedioha through his Special Adviser on Media, Steve Osuji, said, “We are not aware that such thing happened. This blackmail will not stop the state government from recovering movable government assets which were stolen.”
