LASG begins verification of intending pilgrims

The Lagos State Government has commenced the biometric capturing of intending pilgrims travelling with the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Board.

This was disclosed by the Board Secretary, Mr Ishola Rahman, while updating the staff of the board on this year’s operation during a meeting at the Old Secretariat, GRA, Ikeja.

He said intending pilgrims should visit Otunba Yomi Oshikoya Road, off Bank Anthony Way, Etiebet Junction, Abule Onigbagbo Bus Stop, Ikeja, Lagos, with two passport photographs and the original copy of their passport.

He pointed out that intending pilgrims from the Agege Local Government Area, who had completed their payments, had been attended to while those from Ajeromi and Alimosho were getting attention.

Rahman said, “Pilgrims are to wait for a phone call from their various coordinators for their respective dates of capturing to enable them to obtain a visa for the holy pilgrimage.

“The board secretary reiterated the need for intending pilgrims to be quick in the completion of their payments in order to fast track the travelling arrangements to Saudi Arabia.”
