We have transferred our corrupt leaders to APC — PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party says it has transferred its corrupt leaders to the ruling All Progressives Congress, adding that it is now free of corruption.

The party spoke during a political stakeholders’ summit organised by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos branch, in Ikeja, Lagos.

Various political parties and their candidates, during the summit presented their programmes to Christian leaders and civil society organisations in attendance.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission and the National Orientation Agency, among others.

The PDP said it had shed its corrupt leaders to the APC.

“We are the only party that went through democratic selection when we were doing the structural replacement of our hierarchy, including the presidential candidate of our party. A party that does not practise internal democracy cannot help Nigeria out of the problem it has found itself.

“And we have shed all the corrupt party leaders to the APC. Even our past national chairman, as we speak, is being welcomed to the APC in Abuja. So, the PDP is free of corruption,” a representative of the party, Kunle Okunola, said.

Okunola, who is also the House of Representatives candidate of the PDP for Ikeja Federal Constituency, said the party would restructure the country.

The Chairman of PFN, Bishop Olusola Ore, said the Church, though non-partisan, could not continue to be on the sideline.

He said the body would monitor the elections and provide agents in polling units in Lagos.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, urged politicians to fear God, saying they would give accounts on the judgment day.
