War against pipeline vandalism must be sustained – IPMAN

Acting Zonal Chairman, Western Zone, Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mr Kunle Bamigboye, on Wednesday said it is imperative to sustain the ongoing war on pipeline vandalism.

He said the sustainance of the war on pipeline vandalism would boost the energy sector and grow Nigeria’s economy.

According to him, IPMAN is continuously committed to work with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and other stakeholders to sustain the ongoing war against pipeline vandalism in the region.

Bamigboye spoke in a statement on the sidelines of his inauguration as the acting Zonal Chairman, Western Zone, IPMAN.

He stated that  President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration through the NNPC/Pipelines and Products Marketing Company had displayed unparallel commitment to the rehabilitation of the hitherto comatose NNPC depots across the country, with particular reference to the recent inauguration of Mosimi and Ibadan Depots.

Bamigboye, who took over from the former Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Debo Ahmed, now the new Deputy National President, IPMAN, said Buhari’s administration had achieved about 90 per cent completion to bring the Ilorin depot on stream.
