FG feeds 9.2 million pupils daily, says Aisha Buhari

The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has said the Federal Government feeds no fewer than 9.2 million pupils daily under the school feeding programme in various schools across the nation.

Mrs. Buhari stated this in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, during the inauguration of the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team for the North-Central states.

The wife of the President, who was represented by the wife of the Vice-President, Mrs Dolapo Osibanjo, explained that Buhari had done a lot for Nigerians that could compel them to support his re-election bid.

She said the present government had created job for women through the school feeding programme.

Mrs Buhari said, “President Buhari has introduced the N-Power and the Tradermoni initiative, which have put smiles on the faces of those who had nobody to help them.”

She, however, maintained that the present APC administration was working for the poor and vulnerable Nigerians.

Aisha Buhari, therefore, urged all the APC members to go from door to door, villages, towns and cities to canvass support for her husband so that he could finish the good works he had started.

Earlier, the wife of the Nasarawa State Governor, Mrs Salamatu Al-Makura, thanked the President and his wife for initiating programmes that had direct bearing on the people.

Mrs Al-Makura noted that the President had touched the lives of Nigerians via his policies and programmes, while Aisha Buhari had supported the common people through her Future Assured Project.

She said, “Since 2015 when our father, Baba Mai Gaskiya, President Muhammadu Buhari, assumed the mantle of leadership of our great country Nigeria, under the platform of the APC, we have witnessed unprecedented progress in different facets of human endeavours.”

She, however, maintained that with the change mantra, the fight against corruption, and Buhari’s good intentions, the President’s re-election was assured.

Others who delivered goodwill messages at the rally included the  wife of the Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashida Bello, senator representing Nasarawa North at the National Assembly,  Abdullahi Adamu, a former military governor of Lagos State, Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.), Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Solomon Dalong, Hajia Hajo Sani and the governorship candidate of the APC in Nasarawa State, Audu Sule.

They all assured the people that “Nigeria will go to the next level of peace, progress and development if Buhari secured second term in office.”

The campaign was well attended by the APC supporters from Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Kwara and Niger states and the FCT, Abuja.
