By 'Gbenga Bankole

The President, Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs, Mr Summy Smart Francis has said that no responsible or reasonable mega factory is ready to come into Nigeria with the current infrastructural decay, high level of corruption, crime rate and insecurity.

He noted that to build this country and make it investor attractive, it will take at least a minimum of 20-30years with good governance.

Francis stated this in a message made available to BrandInfo.

"Government and Nigerians, let’s not fool each other, or should I say let’s stop fooling each other. No responsible or reasonable Mega factory is ready to come into Nigeria with the current infrastructural decay, high level of corruption, crime rate and insecurity. Investors are not fools!!! (I have spoken to a bunch of them, and their fears and concerns are the same)," he stated.

According to him, If the country don’t harness and embrace entrepreneurship through development of MSME’S then we are joking as a nation.

He said that with our current high level of human capital, creativity and natural resources, we have no excuse.

He further stated that; "let’s not underestimate the power of Small businesses as it is our only way out!!! SME’s account for 60-70% of employment in most countries and the economic output of any nation can be driven by population, hence China and India are some of the economic super powers."

"Our Nation is sitting on millions of workers called civil SERVANTS (who they cannot even afford to pay) many of whom should have retired on their farms or private cattle ranches, or even venture into entrepreneurship, instead they are kept in ancient, fragile buildings with typewriters and hardcopy files to structure our country’s economy."

"Don’t be fooled by those few chinese men with helmet that handshake our governors and take pictures or those 3D plans that we do not even have the policy nor the power to establish."

"Even if Governor Ambode fix all the roads and beautifies lagos, the unemployed and the hungry  will still remove all what is  profitable for them on a regular basis to sell and feed their families."

"It’s not Magic; it’s Logic! FGN, no matter the number of additional policemen you recruit, they can’t stop crime or corruption in Nigeria."

He concluded that entrepreneurship is the key solution to economic development in Nigeria
