The Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director of 141Worldwide Mrs. Olubunmi Oke who has resigned from the company and would leave at the end of July has revealed her most defining moment at the advertising agency.

In an exclusive interview with BRANDINFO, the former President of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) said the most interesting and defining moment of her career was when 141Worldwide won Etisalat and Western Union accounts.

“There are many days I can never forget but I will mention two. The most interesting and defining moment was when we won Etisalat and Western Union accounts. Etisalat account was very defining in my career because it was an international pitch from Abu Dhabi. We were about 15 agencies which were later reduced to five and eventually we became the winner,”

“It was purely on merit. There was no bribery or corruption, but on professional merit. That to me it says a lot both for those who conducted the ROP and for myself and my team. We were able to launch Etisalat into the Nigerian market. I give God all the glory because 141 Worldwide is still on that account even till now. It is about nine years now and this says a lot about me. It is one thing to get a business and another thing is to keep it,” Bunmi explained.

On why he resigned from 141 Worldwide, the advertising Amazon said “I simply took the decision because I have a lot of career adventure I want to go into and some of them are ideas I gathered over the years. It is a career decision to go on a career adventure.”

Bunmi who disclosed that she spent 12years at the advertising agency said it is good to know that she is leaving an agency that is one of the best in the country, adding that she is leaving when the ovation is loud.

Her resignation takes effect at the end of July after a meritorious service spanning several years in the service of the agency.
