In a bid to uplift the business of the continent’s young entrepreneurs,
Africa Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) has partnered with Airopay.
The President of AYE, Mr. Summy Francis made the disclosure
when he addressed newsmen at the Kick off Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs
Empowerment Nigeria (AYEEN) in Lagos recently.
He urged promising entrepreneurs to enroll with the
organisations for assistance to attain their business success.
AYE is a global non- profit organisation with over 12.6
million members across 20 countries in Africa.
Airopay, also an NGO, on the other hand, is a global
provider of e-money solution to ease the financial burden of its customers.
Francis said the zeal, innovations and vision of young entrepreneurs
made his organisation to celebrate people with great minds.
“We support entrepreneurs by helping them with financial
grants, offer them specialised skill training and mentorship.
“This has helped many of them to break free from the initial
teething problems of startups and give them the confidence to take that leap to
business success.
“It is very worrisome that most corporate organisations in
Nigeria are not interested in the sponsorship of non-intellectuals.
“We are using this opportunity to call on all promising
Nigerian entrepreneurs and business startups to register for AYEEN 2017,” the
AYE national president said.
He urged government at all levels, corporate organisations,
institutions and individuals to support Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs to create
economic growth in Nigeria.
Francis said that investment in young entrepreneurs
regardless of the calibre would secure the future of the nation, eradicate
poverty, create jobs and expand economic growth.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer of Airopay, Mr Charles
Oyakhilome, said that his organisation’s services aligned with the dreams of
AYE.
“Our services align with the dreams of AYE to deliver
monetary ease in businesses in Nigeria and the world at large.
“We support these entrepreneurs in terms of funding for
their business to grow,” he said.
The application for the AYEEN 2017 program is closing any
moment from now, and this year, AYEEN will empower up to 1,000 businesses.
Yours could be one of them.
