‘We’ll not allow criminals to cripple business in Lagos’

Ahead of the Yuletide, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Lawal Shehu, has assured Lagos State residents that the command will not allow criminals to cripple business activities in the state.

He said the command was working day and night to ensure that every part of Lagos State was safe for residents and business activities, adding that Lagos “is the one of the cities known for commercial activities in the country.”

Speaking on Wednesday at Onikan, Lagos, Shehu asked Nigerians to align with the police by volunteering information that could help in tracking criminal elements.

The CP assured such informants of confidentiality of their identities and the police prompt response to the information supplied.

“Everybody is a stakeholder when it comes to crime fighting. We must join hands in crime fighting to ensure a safe and secured environment in Lagos State, which is known for commercial activities. We will not allow criminals to cripple business activities in Lagos.”
