‘Buhari will defeat Atiku by noon on election day’

A member of the All Progressives Congress and leader of the Fulani Nationality in Benue State, Alhaji Garus Gololo, on Saturday boasted that   President Muhammadu Buhari would defeat the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, before noon on February 16.

Gololo said this in an interview with our correspondent in Makurdi, the state capital.

He said Nigerians were happy with the level of development recorded so far that they could not afford not to re-elect Buhari.

He said Nigerians knew the difference between Buhari and Abubakar Atiku in terms of capacity to govern and passion for corruption.

According to him, Buhari has achieved a lot in the last three to four years of his administration and is ready to do more if re-elected.

He said, “The February 16 presidential election is going to be between President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.

“From what I have gathered from fellow Nigerians, by noon that day, Buhari would have defeated Atiku.

“There is no argument about this. It is a fact. What do you think Atiku can offer?

“Buhari has done well and even ordinary people on the streets know what I am talking about. If you talk of infrastructural development, he has done well, several federal roads are under construction.

“Look at the rail line linked to many states. Children who were born about 30 -40 years ago who have never seen a train in their lives are very happy seeing train which passes through their domains and are now enjoying rail transportation.

“This is a very good and big project that has turned around the fortune of so many Nigerians.”
