Restore harmony in pharmacy profession, AHAPN tells new PSN president

The Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists of Nigeria has urged the new president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Mr Sam Ohuabunwa to restore professional harmony in the pharmacy profession.

This was contained in a congratulatory message to Ohuabunwa, jointly signed by the AHAPN National Chairman and the National Secretary, Dr. Kingsley Amibor and Mr Hafiz Akande.

Amibor, in the statement, stressed that Ohuabunwa’s victory was a testimony of his acceptance by all pharmacists in Nigeria, noting that members of a association believed in his ability to steer the ship of the profession that held so much potential but had long been neglected through an interplay of forces.

“The National Executive Council and all members of the Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists of Nigeria rejoice with you on your election as the new President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, at the recently concluded 91st Annual National Conference.

“We call upon you to do all in your power to accomplish your electoral promises, especially as it concerns your Seven-Point Agenda. In particular, we at AHAPN are eagerly waiting for you to come to our assistance in tackling and surmounting the numerous challenges confronting our practice.

We need you to help restore professional harmony and clear the mess in the healthcare sector in Nigeria today.

Other practice areas including the Young Pharmacists Group are expectant.

We urge you to make your administration all inclusive and carry your co-contestants along,” the statement read in part.
