Jimi Agbaje, Sanwo-Olu unite for Prince Charles

For a reception in honour of the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, who visited Nigeria last week, two Lagos State governorship candidates, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Jimi Agbaje, put their differences aside.

While Sanwo-Olu is the All Progressives Congress standard bearer, Jimi Abaje is running on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Prince Charles’ visit to Nigeria was rounded off with a reception held by the British High Commissioner, Paul Arkwright, and the Deputy High Commissioner, Laura Beaufils, in Ikoyi, Lagos.

As expected, top personalities, including Sanwo-Olu and Agbaje were invited to enjoy the evening of music, food and drinks.

Despite the fact that the APC and PDP are always at each other’s throats and elections are around the corner, the two contenders were spotted in a convivial atmosphere.

They didn’t show signs of rivalry. Aside from having a chat at different times during the course of the event, they took photos together as well.

Other top dignitaries, who attended the event, included Oba Saheed Elegushi, Tony Elumelu, Nduka Obaigbena, Donald Duke, Prof. Pat Utomi, Lady Maiden Ibru and Mrs. Toyin Saraki, among others.
