Justice Hassan of the Federal High Court has ordered the
final forfeiture of $43.4m, £27,800, N23.2m to the Federal Government.
Recall that the judge ordered the temporary forfeiture of
the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 recovered by the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission from an apartment in the Ikoyi area of Lagos some
months ago.
However, in a new development, he has ordered the final
forfeiture of the cash to the Federal Government. This was made known by the
official account of the EFCC.
