In a bid to showcase their products such as food and drinks, kitchen
equipment, food services and hospitality; more than 150 international
companies are expected to converge at the Food Nigeria Exhibition &
Conferences which would take place between May 18th and 20th at the Eko
Hotel Convention Centre in Lagos.
Food Nigeria provides the largest platform for both international and
regional food and beverage companies to meet, network and establish
business ties in Africa’s largest economy – Nigeria.
The show is also the largest gathering in West Africa for local and
international food and beverage suppliers showcasing an extensive range
of the latest products and services all under one roof.
Exhibitors would have the opportunity to meet major suppliers and
exhibitors from all over the world, connect with potential investors and
trading partners, establish contact with manufacturers who may be
looking for local representatives, learn about new product launches and
latest technologies in the food industry, gain invaluable sector
insights by attending the free-entry conferences and review latest
market trends from industry experts at various conference tracks.

Alongside the exhibition, the conference will address current themes in food supply chain management.
Supported by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration
Control (NAFDAC), the Association of Food Vendors in Nigeria (AFVN), and
National Association of Supermarket Operators Nigeria (NASON); this is
the must-attend business event for 2016.
According to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Nigerian food
imports reached $5.740 billion in
2013, compared to $5.22 billion in
2012. This figure is projected to grow at 20 percent per annum by 2020.
This level of expenditure will inevitably put a strain on resources, and
in an attempt to reduce expenditure, The National Agency for Food &
Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has recently highlighted a
nationwide initiative within Nigeria to increase food production and
exports.
Food Nigeria provides the platform for international food and
beverage companies to gain entry into this lucrative market, and for
domestic companies to grow and develop their networks across the region.
Major topics and issues to be discussed at the event include supply chain management, food technology and retail innovation.
Expected at the conference are government officials, key decision makers
and market leaders looking to gain insight from both local and
international experts.
