Ambode appoints Mobolaji Sanusi as new LASAA boss

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has appointed Mobolaji Sanusi as the new Managing Director of the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA).

Sanusi who succeeds George Noah was a columnist in the nation Newspaper.

Authoritative industry sources said Sanusi was recommended for the job by Tunji Bello, a former Commissioner for Environment, a former LASAA MD and current Secretary to the Lagos State Government.

The new LASSA helmsman is expected to create a robust outdoor advertising environment in the state as well as cooperate with relevant stakeholders with a view to building good image for the state government why increasing its internally generated revenue through the out of home advertising.

It would be recalled that this is one of the greatest challenges faced by the former LASSA boss George Noah.

Sanusi is a die-hard fan of ex-Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu.

He is known to have defended the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on several occasions.

Recently, Sanusi lambasted immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, in a article he titled ‘Fashola’s signal of ingratitude’.

In the piece, he castigated the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for working against Tinubu, who according to him, “kick-started his (Fashola’s) great leap to political prominence”.

LASAA, a brain-child of Tinubu, was established by the Lagos State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law, 2006.

The agency is responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising and signage displays in Lagos State.
