When Airtel
Red Hot Promo started, no one ever knew that a truck driver, Abiodun Adio who
lives in Akute Ogun state will be the lucky winner of the ultimate prise which
is a brand new Range Rover, 2015 model.
Adio, along
other five people who won one million naira each were unveil last week at the
promo prise presentation ceremony held at Eko Hotel and Suits, Lagos.
Speaking
while receiving the key of the car at the ceremony, Adio who was overwhelmed
with joy confessed that he never thought he can enter a Range Rover car in his
life talk of having one, adding that winning the car is the best thing to have
happened to him.
“I never
believed Airtel when they called me that I have won a brand new Range Rover
car, 2015 model. I want to use this medium to thank Airtel for adding value and
meaning to my life. I also want to use this opportunity to tell Nigerians that
Airtel promos are real,” he concluded.
Other
winners at the presentation ceremony are Enang Inyang Bassey, Toyin Akinmuleya,
Taye Ademola, Olusola Odumosu and Friday Egbe. Others are Taiwo Afolagbe,
Ademola Taiwo and Sulaiman Ametuo. They all won one million naira each.
Speaking at
the ceremony, one of the new millionaires, Mrs. Toyin Akinmuleya, a trader,
disclosed that; “I was sitting in my room on January 6 this year when I
received a call from Airtel that I have one million naira. I even though it was
fake, but I believe it is real when I was given the one million naira cheque at
their office in Lekki.”
Another one million naira winner at the ceremony
Mr. Enang Inyang Bassey said he was surprise when Airtel called him last year
December that he has won a million naira. Bassey who is a dry cleaner thanked
Airtel and implored Nigerians to believe in the company.
Speaking
with newsmen at the event, Airtel Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olusegun
Ogunsanya said that Airtel will continue to set the pace for others to follow.
He noted that today’s presentation is an evidence that they keep to their
promises of making life better for Nigerians.
He disclosed
that; “Airtel launched another promo recently which will be giving out three
million naira in every week for 12 weeks. And apart from the three million
naira, there are others prices to be won. ”
The promo
which is in its second season also
produced several winners of iPad Air, 500 winners of N10,000 each
and 25,000 winners of free airtime.
