P&G introduces new dishwashing liquid

Procter and Gamble has announced the formal entrance of Fairy into the nation’s soap market, while unveiling the popular actress and TV personality, Iretyola Doyle as the face of the brand.

First launched in the United Kingdom about five decades ago, the Fairy brand, according to the company, has grown to become a popular dish care brand globally, with the Nigerian consumers being the first in the sub-Saharan Africa to experience the Fairy quality of being a top performing product that is trusted by consumers in the UK and in over 80 other countries world-wide.

According to the company’s General Manager, George Nassar, Fairy dishwashing liquid boasts over 50 years of scientific innovation in each bottle and is proven to last two times longer than current best-selling brands in this category in Nigeria. Each powerful drop of Fairy is 100 per cent effective on oily grease, making it easier to get dishes squeaky clean and pots shining.

P&G’s Fabric and Home Care Communications Specialist for Sub-Saharan Africa, Jeanne du Plessis, said the choice of Iretyola as brand’s celebrity ambassador was based on her unprecedented track record of success and shared values.

“We are confident that Fairy is in the right company with the choice of Iretyola, a winner at home and on the job,” Plessis remarked.

Iretyola, a mother of six children, believed it is easy to connect with a brand that makes the home its priority, adding that “We all need help to win in life. Now, I have Fairy to help me achieve squeaky clean dishes always, whether I am preparing our home meals or catering a dinner party.’
